Project Description
The goal of the LESTO project is to digitize the physical environment and tools that teachers of STEM subjects need to implement quality online teaching in which students would be actively involved. Special emphasis within this goal is placed on students who have difficulties with school work. Research in preparation for the project showed how much online teaching during the COVID-19 regime was a challenge for both students and teachers. One of the key activities of the project is the creation of an online platform through which teachers and students will be able to jointly conduct scientific experiments at a distance, with the help of educational sets that will also be developed within the project.
The Role of CPN
The Center for the Promotion of Science participates in researching the pedagogical needs of elementary school teachers, with active involvement of a group of STEM teachers from Serbia. CPN will also contribute to the design and testing of training materials for the online platform and educational sets, as well as further dissemination of the materials in Serbia. CPN will host a project team meeting in Belgrade halfway through the project.
