    The Department of International Cooperation<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

    Since its establishment in 2010, the Center for the Promotion of Science has been actively developing its international cooperation. This started by our engagement in related European and global associations, participation on conferences and various events which bring together similar organizations, and execution of joint plans and programmes. At the same time we started participating in project consortiums and applications. The first project in which the Center took part was the 2012 Researchers\u2019 Night named \u201cFRIEND2YOU\u201d, funded through the European Commission\u2019s FP7 Programme. The coordinator of this project was the Faculty of Technical Sciences from Novi Sad. After taking part in the first, the Center significantly developed its cooperation with partners on other projects. It continued to actively participate in, and also apply for projects financed under various EU programmes, like FP7, LLP Comenius, Erasmus+, Creative Europe, COST and Horizon 2020. The Center regularly takes part in a significant number of projects since 2014. They focus on a variety of topics such as (non)formal science education, science communication, the application of Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) concept, gender framework, ethics, interdisciplinary cooperation between scientists and artists, and so on. In response to the requirements that attain complex project involvement and a growing number of diverse activities in the Centre, the Department of International Cooperation was established in the middle of 2015. Our goal then was to consolidate all applications that we work on, manage and coordinate European projects, and improve networking and connectivity with related partners and associations. At the end of 2016, the Center has already simultaneously participated in 12 European projects and initiatives, this being the highest number of ongoing projects since the institution\u2019s establishment. We also always have at least several applications in the evaluation phase. At the time of the writing of this introductory text (June 2017), the Center was a partner in 10 EU-funded projects and participated in 4 open calls for applications.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
